Turia is the flagship gate on the Madhya Pradesh side of Pench Tiger Reserve and the main entry point for most first-time Pench visitors. It leads into dense teak and sal forests where Rudyard Kipling set The Jungle Book. Tiger territories here are relatively predictable — the Collarwali lineage, particularly, has kept the Turia beats productive for 15+ years.
